Exploring Sustainable Farming in Action

We are so proud to sponsor CISA’s Farming & Climate Change Week! As part of the week of celebration, EVP – Chief Banking Officer, Jackie Charron, and SVP – Business Banking Officer, Deb Esposito, had the chance to tour Barstow’s Longview Farm in Hadley. This seventh generation family farm is blending tradition with innovation; from their modern milking parlor and automated feeding and cleaning systems, to their anaerobic digester that converts methane from cow manure and food waste into enough electricity to power 1,600 homes, Barstow’s has truly set a benchmark for sustainable agriculture. CISA (Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture) works to strengthen farms and engage the community to build a resilient local food economy.
