Gleaning Potatoes for Local Food Pantries

Tony Worden, Jane Wolfe, and Jackie Charron, worked with Sarah & Cara from Rachel’s Table to harvest 230 pounds of potatoes from a farm in South Deerfield. The potatoes were delivered to a few of the local food pantries. The mission of Rachel’s Table of Western Massachusetts (RTWM) is to alleviate hunger and reduce the waste of food resources in Western Massachusetts. RTWM takes a holistic and collaborative approach toward food security by supporting an intergenerational volunteer effort to feed and nourish our local communities.
